Upon learning about the Program Director position with ISSA, I was excited to express my interest and nomination. My core values of purpose, passion for the security profession, and continuous learning, I am eager to enhance the security program management for the ISSA community.
With 10+ years in heath care leadership and 5+years as a Professor with Regis University and recently with University College (formally Denver University), I have a well-rounded and diverse skill set in higher learning, risk consulting, training, and mentoring IT security professionals with an unique expertise in emerging technology, such as, AI, machine learning, and collaboration talents, making me an ideal fit for the ISSA Program Director role. I have an authentic and adaptive leadership style.
In addition, I have several active certifications with ISACA, such as, CISA, CRISC, CISM, and CDPSE and recently obtained a Cybersecurity certification with ISC2. With my vast audit and IT security leadership experience in finance, health care, and manufacturing organizations, with Kaiser, First Data and Ball Corporations, TIAA-CREF, Wells Fargo, etc.. I have advanced capabilities and influence to work with many professionals at all levels in the organization, including C level executives. I am a forward and critical thinker with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. Also, I enjoy decorating, traveling ,and helping others grow personally, professionally, while giving back to our communities. Also, I support my community by providing housing for traveling professionals and nurses.
