The Denver ISSA Chapter would like to announce the creation of a new Special Interest Group; "Privacy". As the importance of Privacy is on the rise and the fact that Privacy requires Security, we feel it is our duty to include this new SIG topic.

No matter the size of your business, you likely use third party vendors to handle, secure, or administrate sensitive data. Along with that processing come privacy and security challenges, from incident response to subject access requests, advertising opt-outs, data retention challenges, etc. This talk covers best practices for third party vendors within an enterprise privacy program along with new methods to safely process large personal information databases. The talk takes the perspective of a Colorado company subject to the Colorado Privacy Act but focuses on principles underlying most state and federal privacy laws.
